I graduated the Institute of Audio Research in 2014. I began my career doing front-of-house live sound mixing for theater and worked part-time as a DJ and production assistant in a variety of live entertainment settings and corporate environments. Over the past several years, I have built my own arsenal of professional audio recording equipment for movie production. I have worked with many NYU film students, independent filmmakers, passion projects, houses of worship, and conducted high-school workshops on sound for video and musical theater. I have also worked as a production assistant on big budget film shoots for HBO and 20th Century Fox. In the summer of 2019, I left my 9 to 5 day job to pursue my passion for audio recording and sound design full-time. When I am not on location working as a sound mixer or boom operator, you will find me in my home recording studio where I enjoy designing, editing, and mixing sounds for music and video production.

“David is an absolute gem to work with. He’s professional, collaborative, and dedicated to his craft.”  ~  Aidan T.

"David brings a breath of fresh air to set and fantastic sound equipment. I would highly recommend him for any shoot."  ~  Liz K.

“If I have to trust someone with the sound, I’ll leave it up to David! He’s supportive and just a joy to have on set!”  ~  Omara O.

"David was patient, kind, and professional as we worked our way through intensive dialogue. He provided us with quality audio and we received our deliverables in a timely manner. It was a pleasure to work with him and to have him as a part of our team."  ~  Taylor B.

“When it comes to sound mixers, look no further: David Clark is the real deal. Not only was David an absolute pleasure to work with in every capacity, but the sound he recorded was absolutely immaculate. David knew exactly what he was doing at all times, offered creative (and effective) solutions to any problems that arose, and even braved freezing rain to go out of his way to record the best sound possible. David also took every opportunity to help out our small crew (whom he had only just met) in any way he could. As a director, he made my job easy. I truly cannot speak more highly of David’s character, conduct, and expertise. Do yourself a favor: get this man on your set.”  ~  David B.
